WidowPC Gaming Computers - Voodoo PC Review
PC Magazine has reviewed a few Voodoo PCs. What is shocking about the below is they highlight how you don't get what you pay for at Voodoo PC.
Voodoo PC Laptop Review
Title: VoodooPC Envy M:380
Date: 11/10/04 (Issue 21, 2004)
Bottom Line: The price can definitely come down. You can find better components for a lot less money elsewhere.
Pros: Light enough to take with you. Very sleek design.
Cons: Too pricey. Below average performance.
Price: $4,395
With the VoodooPC Envy m:380, you don't get what you pay for. The system includes an Intel Pentium M 755 (2.0 GHz) processor and a very good graphics chipset, but the components and vividly colored finish can't justify the outrageous price tag of $4,395.

Voodoo PC Listed in PC Magazine's "The Worst Products of the Year"
Title: Ten to Avoid - The Worst Products of the Year
Date: 12/03/04
Notebook PC: Voodoo has made quite a name for itself in the enthusiast category, delivering super-fast tweaked-out boxes for gamers and power users who don't want to build their own. We've favorably reviewed a number of their PCs, and found them fast, well built, and good-looking. Yes, the VoodooPC Envy m:380 looks good, but one out of three is not enough. At an outrageous price of over $4,000, this notebook should be spitting fire and hauling butt. Instead, it just sits there and delivers less-than-stellar performance for a gaming notebook. It barely even beat Sony's lame VAIO A190.

We recommend the Widow PC Sting 417 (same hardware as the VoodooPC Envy m:380 at a much lower price).
