WidowPC Gaming Computers - Comparison
When making product and price comparisons between WidowPC and a competitor,
make sure you are making an "apples to apples" comparison. For
instance, does the competitor mention the brand of motherboard they are using? Most likely,
they refer to it under their company name
(referred to as "private labeling"). Good examples of this include
"Dell motherboards" and "Alienware motherboards." If the
vendor isn't mentioning the brand then
the quality of that component is likely much lower than a high end retail brand.
These parts are often referred to as "OEM" parts. They are less
expensive for the company, but are of inferior quality.
This is why WidowPC pays more for the high quality parts, up front. Yes, it
costs us more. But it costs us less in the long wrong, by keeping our customers
happy. It
also costs you less in both time and stress because you are much less likely to
have to deal with breakdown issues. Additionally, the type of customers who come
to us want the highest quality available. .
Here is a list of the brands we use, compared to major competitors.

Notably, Alienware now has a outrageously expensive "ALX" systems
that feature quality parts similar to WidowPC. The ALX systems sell for $1,500
to $2,000 more than Alienware's standard models. Yet, Alienware advertises all
of their systems as high end? Sounds like Alienware has generic "high
end" and the real stuff which they label as ALX. Despite that, we keep our
prices as competitive to Alienware's "generic" systems as we can,
while still assembly each system as a custom system, even making
thermal-electric cooling and water cooling an option. And even the ALX system
does not come with a real Microsoft Windows disk.
WidowPC does not make you register through rebate programs limited with all
kinds of small print and restrictions that may not allow you the discount you
thought you were going to get. We just offer the best quality in the industry
and reasonable prices up front. Add to that, WidowPC's "support is
the best" (Computer Gaming Magazine).
Our exclusive WidowPC lifetime tech support gets you up and running quickly and
how quickly they got the customer back into the game
