WidowPC Gaming Computers - 100GB 7200RPM Laptop Drive Announced
WidowPC is proud to announce that we will be shipping the Hitachi 100GB 7200 RPM SATA-150 Travelstar laptop hard drive in WidowPC Sting gaming laptops September. This is big news for fans of desktop replacement gaming laptops because it puts the seek speed, bandwidth and capacity of a desktop hard drive in a laptop. Add to that Hitachi's own tests show the 3.5" form factor, laptop drive at roughly 12% faster than the average desktop drive.
This comes at a fortutious time as well, because this evening we are also announcing that, as of today, we are shipping the 5400 RPM version of the same drive. Both the Sting 715 Gaming Laptop and Sting 917 Gaming Laptop are now shipping with the Hitachi 100GB 5400 RPM SATA drive as an upgrade option.
