WidowPC Gaming Computers - Diagnosed With Inoperable Cancer...1 Year Left
Look, if you had one shot, or one opportunity To seize everything you ever wanted-One moment Would you capture it or just let it slip?
Those are a few lines from Eminem's 8 Mile and they are so meaningful to me...because *damn it*...I see so many people with so many opportunities staring them in the face and they do nothing. I see so many people working in jobs that they hate, for bosses less capable, living "lives of quiet desperation." Do these people think that their lives are worth wasting? Don't they understand that they'll never get those days back?
Every day we make decisions about how we want to spend our lives. By that I mean, *any action* we make is a decision even if we don't mean it to be. Make that decision an active one. DECIDE how you want to live your life as if the doctor had just diagnosed you with inoperable cancer. You've got 1 year left to live. Now DECIDE how you want to spend the rest of your time on earth.
Your time here is limited. You have to seize the moment, because that's what you have. One moment. Always. That moment will always be now. So make your *decision*.
Places you want to see? Schedule the trip on your calendar now and do it within the year you have left. People to make up with/see/say "I'm sorry" to/start a real relationship with? Call them up now, or write an email if calling isn't on the menu because you've only got a year left to savor that person.
Remember, you've only got 1 year left. If you don't do it now, you'll never do it and on you death bed, you'll look back on your life as a series of missed opportunities because you decided that fear of failure was a good enough reason to fail.
Own your life. Take it back from uncontrollable events. DECIDE to be what you dream.
Send me a message and tell me what you've decided to do to make your life yours. Send this message to your 3 closest friends. Help them live their dreams. Tell them what you've decided. It's people like you that make the world a great place to be. Now go BE your DREAMS...you only get one shot.
