15 Day Money Back Guarantee

If for any reason the customer is not satisfied with a WidowPC purchase and would like to return it for a refund 30 days from the date of order payment, just contact us and obtain a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number. If the product is undamaged by the customer and there is at least one manufacturer defect found with the order, we will issue a full refund with no restocking fees unless otherwise stated in this warranty. All returns must be in "as shipped" condition (meaning the same condition as when it shipped and in the same packing materials). WidowPC reserves the right to charge the customer for missing items, opened or registered software and physically damaged parts.

If there are no manufacturer defects found in the system and the customer received satisfactory service and the order is as listed in the customer order details, WidowPC reserves the right to charge a 15% restocking fee in addition to any charges required for missing or damaged product plus return shipping costs on all systems returned. We do not accept returns for refund more than 30 days after the original invoice or 15 days after the system is signed for at delivery whichever is later. This allows the product to be in the customer's possession for at least 15 days and insures that the customer has plenty of time to judge if the computer is satisfactory.

We do not accept returns on custom ordered parts (parts not listed on our web site).  The customer is advised to utilize the manufacturer warranty for any items not listed as for sale on the WidowPC web site.

Cross Shipping Service

Cross shipping is defined as shipping an operational part or system to a customer, before the original part or system is in our possession. If the customer notifies WidowPC of a manufacturer defect within 30 days of original invoice or within 15 days of original delivery, WidowPC may build a completely new replacement system or replacement component and cross ship it to the customer. If the customer does not return the defective, replaced part or system to us within 7 business days of receipt of the cross shipped replacement part or system, the customer will be charged for the cross shipped replacement part or system. We require a credit card authorization form in order to insure that the original, defective part is returned to us. If we later receive the defective part or system within 30 days of the customer's receipt of the cross shipped, replacement part, the charge to the customer will be refunded.

If a replacement OEM part is no longer available or is discontinued, WidowPC reserves the right to substitute the original OEM product for an equivalent part or offer an upgrade option. If parts returned as defective to WidowPC for replacement or refund are tested by WidowPC technicians and found to be in correct working order, customers are subject to a $35.00 diagnostic fee, in addition to any shipping and handling charges incurred by WidowPC, at WidowPC's discretion. Additionally, a 15% restocking fee may be applied to such parts or systems falsely claimed to be defective and returned for refund.

Toll Free Tech Support for as Long as You Own the Computer

When you purchase a computer from us, we include toll free tech support for that computer for as long as you own the computer.  You receive the toll free tech support phone number along with the tracking number for the computer when the computer ships from our assembly labs.

Privacy Policy

Information regarding you or your order and the products you purchase will not be given or sold to any outside organization unless required by law.  We define "outside organization" as any person or entity not directly associated with the sales, billing, assembly, testing and shipping of your purchase.  In other words, your personal information is only given to agents of this company that must have that information fulfill and deliver your order to you.  Only the portion of your information that is necessary is shared.  For instance, only our sales and billing department ever see your financial information.  Our assembly lab and warehouse are not authorized to view customer credit card information.

Restocking Fees Within 30 Days

If you received defective hardware or did not receive what you consider satisfactory service, we will not charge restocking fees within the first 30 days after the date of purchase. At this time restocking fees are not charged for most returns for just about any reason.  However, to protect ourselves from people who might abuse this policy, WidowPC reserves the right to charge a 15% restocking fee that may be applied to returned product lacking manufacturer defects.

Cancellation Policy

WidowPC must be notified in writing of a cancellation through the WidowPC Support Ticket system. The customer may also call our support and have the support tech file the phone cancellation request in the support ticket system. The customer is responsible for getting a support ticket number (either directly from the only support ticket system or from the support tech on the phone) to confirm the cancellation. WidowPC reserves the right to charge a 5% cancellation fee.

One Year Limited Parts and Labor Warranty For Complete Desktop Systems

WidowPC systems come with a 1 year warranty from original invoice date (system components are defined as all major component inside the case, excluding special order items). A complete system is defined as the combination of an operational CPU unit, motherboard, floppy drive and other permanent storage media installed with an operating system at time of original shipment. The cost of parts is covered for one year from the date of the initial invoice, except as otherwise stated in this warranty. Processors carry a 30 day replacement warranty from WidowPC. Special order components not listed on the WidowPC website, are covered by their respective manufacturer warranty and are not covered by any WidowPC warranty. WidowPC is in no way responsible for the incompatibility, assembly of and / or integration of kits, barebones systems and / or specially ordered parts from Widow PC with other components not purchased from WidowPC. If a replacement component is no longer available or is discontinued, WidowPC reserves the right to substitute the component for an equivalent or better part, or offer an upgrade option. This warranty is good for one year from the date of purchase, unless otherwise noted on the warranty - in the case of purchased extended warranties, or until you no longer own the computer, whichever comes first. After the WidowPC warranty coverage for parts expires, the component manufacturer warranty may still be in place. If the WidowPC parts coverage has expired, you must deal directly with the component manufacturer to receive repaired or replacements for defective parts.

One Year Limited Parts and Labor Warranty For Complete Laptop Systems

WidowPC includes a one year limited warranty on complete laptop systems from the original invoice date (system components are defined as all major components inside the case, excluding special order items). A complete system is defined as an operational CPU unit which includes an operating system. WidowPC will replace or repair any system component for a period of 1 (one) years from the invoice date at our cost. If a replacement component is no longer available or is discontinued, WidowPC reserves the right to substitute the component for an equivalent part, or offer an upgrade option.

Warranty Shipping

WidowPC is responsible for the costs of shipping repaired parts and systems to the customer via UPS Ground within the contiguous United States (ie, not including Alaska, Hawaii, Guam, etc.). WidowPC reserves the right to charge the customer for the shipping costs of returning the part or system back to the customer more than $50. In this manner, the customer may purchase upgraded shipping (like international shipping, faster delivery, etc. that costs more than $50). Under no circumstances is WidowPC responsible for the costs of any warranty repair shipping more expensive than UPS Ground within the continental United States. WidowPC reserves the right to upgrade the customer's shipping - at WidowPC's discretion - to a faster delivery method at WidowPC's expense, but shall not be obligated to do so. After 30 days from invoice date, WidowPC is not responsible for customer expenses associated with shipping the product back to WidowPC for warranty service.

Lifetime Limited Labor Service For Complete Systems

It is important to compare service policies, as many computer companies will not service a product after the warranty has expired (even if the customer offers to pay for the service). WidowPC will repair any complete system purchased from WidowPC at any time. You never have to worry about finding someone to fix your computer. If an out of warranty product fails at any time that our WidowPC customer owns it, we'll fix it. If the parts are no longer covered under our Limited Parts and Labor Warranty (defined above) then the customer will be required to coordinate with the part manufacturer to supply WidowPC with the parts needed for repairs to the system. The customer is also responsible for paying any associated labor costs after the associated labor warranty has expired.

Lifetime Technical Support Warranty For Complete Systems

Any customer who purchases a complete system from WidowPC is entitled to free technical support for as long as they own the system. To obtain technical support services or to invoke warranteed privileges, customers should either contact WidowPC's technical support department at the toll free phone number provided to you upon shipment to obtain a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number or contact us through our support ticket system.  For faster service, please have the following information available when you contact us:

  • your order number
  • name the order was placed under
  • address the computer system should be shipped to after any necessary repairs are made
  • serial number from the system chassis
  • detailed description of the problem requiring support including error messages and a record of exactly what you were doing with the PC when the error or breakage occurred.

An Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number is required for all returned items and may be obtained from your WidowPC tech support rep.

Shipping

Outside forces can effect our assembly time; therefore, we do not guarantee that your order will be shipped in any particular time. Although, we certainly make every effort to get your order to you as quickly as possible. We will generally upgrade your shipping if it hasn't shipped when we thought it would although we are not obligated to do so. After your repair is completed, it takes from 2 - 10 business days before the system is delivered to us via standard ground shipping depending on where you live.  APO/FPO shipments ship via USPS Priority Mail and may take up to eight (8) weeks to arrive (nine weeks for war zone delivery).  Additionally, the USPS does not generate a tracking number for these shipments due to security precautions, but does supply a "registration number" to verify that it was shipped.

Any time you ship a computer to us, you MUST pack the computer properly. On return shipments, WidowPC is not responsible for damage caused by improper packing. Computers should be double boxed, with at least two inches of packing material between the boxes. On all shipments, if packing was adequate and UPS is at fault for damages, we will handle all repairs. Take note that many other vendors make it YOUR responsibility to deal with UPS and issue an insurance claim. Our policy is much simpler and easier for you!

ALWAYS SAVE YOUR BOXES! Over 90% of the shipping damages we see happen occur when the customer ships product back to us in other than the original packaging. It is incredibly difficult to ship a computer without damage which is why we have invested in special packaging systems.  If you ship in packaging other than the original packaging, UPS will not cover any damages that occur in route -- meaning you'll be responsible for the shipping-related damages.

We do not ship out on Saturday or Sunday or national holidays. Due to shipper restrictions we cannot deliver to P.O. Boxes. All shipments are subject to stock availability. Our shipping charges are based on each individual product's weight and the time it takes to pack each box with sufficient care and packaging to expect the product to arrive safely, and are calculated as determined by WidowPC.   Each system ships accordin to its availability as stated on widowpc.com.  WidowPC does not guarantee any ship times included on this site, nor does WidowPC guarantee any claims made by any carrier.

Sales Taxes

WidowPC charges an 8% sales tax fee for orders to be delivered to addresses within states where we maintain a physical presence.

Return Policy

To return merchandise for credit, repair or replacement, the customer must obtain a Return Merchant Authorization number (RMA). To obtain an RMA, contact us with your product number, your name, reason you are returning the system and a request for an RMA.  All returns require an RMA. Packages without an RMA will not be accepted for refund.  Due to limited stock, replacements for some products may not be available and cannot be guaranteed. WidowPC is not liable for shipments made to us. We recommend that our customers use a reputable, trackable shipping method such as UPS, FedEx or DHL with good packaging (original packing preferred) and full insurance paid. The RMA number that was issued to you should be clearly written on each side of the box.

Unopened products may be returned/refunded for full credit, at WidowPC's discretion, and must be received by WidowPC within 30 days of the original invoice date. The return/refund of any product may be subject to a 15% restocking fee, at WidowPC's discretion, and must be received by WidowPC within 30 days of the original invoice payment date. We cannot and will not pay refunds on opened software or printers. After 30 days of the original invoice payment date, no returns/refunds on unopened and/or opened product will be accepted. Please allow 30 business days for refunds to be processed. Additional time may occur for settlement with individual banks.

Fraud Protection and Secure Socket Layer (SSL) Technology

We utilize multiple fraud protection techniques and technologies to protect ourselves and our customers from unauthorized credit card charges.  We use state-of-the-art 128-bit SSL encryption, automated address verification, and have retained the services of VeriSign's Fraud Protection team. The secure server software (SSL) encrypts all information you enter before it is sent to us. You can always be aware of a secure page by spotting the lock in the bottom status bar of your browser. Furthermore, all of the customer data we collect is protected against unauthorized access by physical and electronic security, both at our offices and at our hosting facility. Under the Fair Credit Billing Act, your bank cannot hold you liable for more than $50.00 of fraudulent charges. If your bank does hold you liable for any of this $50.00, WidowPC will cover the $50  liability for you.  We will cover this liability only if the unauthorized use of your credit card resulted through no fault of your own from purchases made with WidowPC.

In the event of unauthorized use of your credit card, you must notify WidowPC immediately and notify your credit card provider in accordance with its reporting rules and procedures.  We have designed our online store to give you options concerning the privacy of your credit card information, name, address, e-mail and any other information you provide us. We are committed to data security with respect to information collected on our site. In addition to the industry standard security measures available through your browser, called SSL encryption, we have made a practice to call customers in the event of potential problem with your purchase. Also, you may always contact a sales representative over the telephone in case you prefer to deliver your credit card information via phone. We actively cooperate and report suspicious activity to federal and federally funded fraud protection and prosecution organizations.

Help protect yourself -- we strongly encourage you to use your billing address as a shipping destination to minimize risk of fraud, however unlikely a scenario it may seem.  For protection of our customers, we ship only to the verified billing address or authorized shipping address registered with the customer's credit card issuer. Authorized shipping address can be obtained upon contact of the credit card issuer. Credit card issuer registers alternative (shipping) address upon customer's authorization in addition to existing billing address for internet deliveries.

To register an alternative address (not the same as billing - for example your office or relative's place of residence), call the toll-free number on the back of your credit card and ask them to add a temporary authorized shipping address.
